Most children start teething anywhere between six and 24 months old, with most of their teeth erupting by age three.

It’s crucial to teach children good oral hygiene habits from the time their first tooth erupts. This includes visiting a dentist for regular check-ups. Dentists usually recommend you bring your child in for their first check-up around the age of one.

During their first few visits, we will gently check the overall health of their teeth. These early visits are as much about making your child comfortable around a dentist as they are about their dental health.

During your child’s younger years, we will also:

  • Apply a strong protective sealant that protects teeth from decay.
  • Use a fluoride treatment to make the teeth more resistant to decay and acid.
  • Show your child how to floss and rinse with mouthwash correctly.
  • Recommend the right mouthwash ingredients for every age group.
